Front Squats 3-3-3-3-3

What a miserable morning - it's been raining and I forgot my umbrella. Walking to work from the parking lot in wet dress slacks is LAME but thank goodness for CrossFit; it is the highlight of my morning & sets the tone for the rest of my very long day.

I was really looking forward to them & today we hit up Front Squat Triplets (x3). Last week I noticed that I got a little shifty on my feet on one set of Front Squat "Cincos" (x5) so I decided to wear my Chuck's instead of my Nike Free's. The Chuck's have a nice hard sole as opposed to my Free's which are a good all-around training shoe but feel a little too "free" sometimes. Granted Chuck Taylor's aren't exactly an ideal weightlifiting shoe but they do the trick. Here's how it looked:

I worked extra sets for strength and I was able to get 1-rep. of 210 before epic failure. Considering 215-lbs. was my 1-rep. max I feel pretty confident that whenever Front Squat Uno's come back around I'll be able to bump up my load for another PR.
