WOD:
Push Jerk 3-3-3-3-3
Top Load: 165-lbs. [PR]
So today we hit 3-rep. Push Jerks. I had been pining to hit Jerks for more work/practice so I was a little bummed that I actually missed 5-rep. Push Jerks last week. Today was my day off so I rolled in @ 0900 and much to my surprise I found that the 0900 Class had grown exponentially. The couple of times that I've made the 0900 class there was like 6 people there so it's cool to see that time slot on the rise.
I didn't get much of a warmup and I felt it - everything seemed to be going in slow motion. Coach & Chriss (sp?) dished out some pointers: too much jumping around, not enough hip extension, no active shoulder lockout, no speed under the bar, etc. I just added it all to the list of "Stuff to Work On for the 'Jerk'."
I think Jerry is secretly prepping us for 1-RM. Clean & Jerks, no?
Extra:
Weighted Chins 1-1-1-1-1
