"D.T"

In honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.

WOD - (135-lbs.):

5-RFT.

12 Deadlifts
9 Hang Power Cleans
6 Push Jerks

Time: 14:52

Ever have one of those weird mornings where everything is amiss and nothing is what it's supposed to be? Today is one of those days. I woke up an hour late so I had to hit the WOD with Team 0600, it's raining and I forgot my umbrella (again!), and the office is oddly vacant & bare.

This morning we hit up another hero WOD - "D.T." to kind of cap off the Memorial Day weekend after starting it off with "Murph." It really sucks to say but this is one of the newest Hero WOD's that has come out of CrossFit HQ - too many good men & women have died and these Hero WOD's are a reminder of their sacrifice to us and our nation. We should be eternally grateful!

This morning I used 135-lbs. instead of the RX'd weight of 155-lbs. - you know, coming off a long, lazy weekend I was rested but I just didn't feel motivated to tackle 155-lbs. (excuses I know...) that and my overhead strength isn't where it should be (again, more excuses I know...) We all know that the little things like form & technique tend to suffer once you've been plowing through an intense WOD so in order to have SOME semblance of virtuous movement I went with the lighter weight.

Thanks to Harold who literally willed me through the final round. Thanks bro!

Know what you mean - my game was totally off today also. No POP.

Still, way to represent the 'Sean's at 0600.

Thanks for the notes on Timothy Davis.
