OHS 5x1
Top Load: 165-lbs. [PR]
Yessir!
The last time I attempted Overhead Squats I was thoroughly embarassed by my performance. I was barely and I mean barely able to OHS 115-lbs. and I remember attempting 135-lbs. numerous times to no avail. I just couldn't put it together and I left CFOT that morning in a sheepish state. It was a very humbling experience...
...fast forward to today. When I first walked in and saw the board I felt, in all honesty, a sense of trepidation creep over me. All I could think about was the failures from OHS attempts 2-months ago - but all that turned into motivation for today and I was not going let them hold me back. I was determined to throw down with the best of them! Here's the breakdown:
95-115-135-155-165-
I went for 170-lbs. got set, got down, but couldn't get back up - I was just too gassed from previous attempts. So...
BOOK IT: 115-lb. OHS + 50-lbs. = 165-lb. BWT OHS PR
This might call for a victory moustache!
