What's Worse Than an 800m Run? Try Three!

WOD:

800m Run
40 KB Swings (53-lbs.)
40 Box Jumps
800m Run
30 KB Swings (53-lbs.)
30 Box Jumps
800m Run
20 KB Swings (53-lbs.)
20 Box Jumps

Time: 21:42?

Man, I should've put money down that we were gonna do some long & grueling met-con today - I'd be a rich man!

Extra:

Farmer's Walk (w/ 40-lb. Dumbells)

I was originally walking out the door with the wood planks that we normally utilize for Farmer's Walks but Jerry suggested I try using the 40-lb. DB's instead. His reason being with Heavy DB's you get the grip/forearm workout you're seeking but you also get some core work too trying to stabalize all the extra weight you're carrying around. It was amazing how much faster your grip, and arms burn out - makes you feel like you're ALIVE!!!

I had that whiff of long metcon in the air about minute 47 on the elliptical yesterday. Now if I could just use those hunches on buying lottery tickets. Oh well two long ones in a row has to be good in some capacity.

You must really be a sprinter if you are thinking 800's are long!

The 2nd and 3rd runs are no joke. Now my time, it can be considered a joke.

Need to figure out how to better pace myself after blowing through the first set, so I have some wind for later runs. Or, I just need to shutup and RUN!

I just realized that putting an 'I' in 'RUN' spells RUIN - how prophetic for me.

Anyway, with your time of sub 22, if there was a fourth set, I'd think you would lap me - Russ was 2 Kettlebell swings away from lapping me.

Who said runs were meant for recovery?You just run, and don't forget to breathe. And dude... Todd, Russ, Steck, and Tim R. dance at a party that we're somehow not privy to and I WANT IN!
