Jerk-Con

WOD:

7-RFT.

3 Push Jerks (135-lbs.)
5 Chest-to-Bar Pullups
7 Burpees

Time: 11:29

So as of late my wrist has really been bothering me. I hurt it during last Saturday's "PAINSTORM" WOD and then this past Wednesday during Cleans 5x1's I missed my shoulders completely on an attempt and it got bent back kind of funny. So I plan on taking it easy on the weights for a while until I feel my wrist is strong enough to handle heavier/RX'd loads again.

Went with 135-lbs. instead of the prescribed 155-lbs. - overhead strength is still an issue that and combined with my lame wrist this morning's Jerks were a chore. 5 C2B's were easy and my Burpee cycle rate was on point (just keep moving!) All in all it was a good burner!

Afterwards Jerry told me that he hasn't been writing up Extra: workouts because a lot of his athletes (including yours truly) do 'em almost like a 2nd WOD and are probably suffering from overtraining. He advised just taking it easy so I chose to lightly work Double Unders to make sure that yesterday's sets weren't flukes.

Take care of the wrist! Looks like i missed a good one this a.m. After my double header yesterday I needed a rest day--we'll see what painstorm Jerry brings tomorrow!
