WOD:
3-RFT.
400m Run
20 Push Presses (75-lbs.)
15 Sumo Deadlift High Pulls (75-lbs.)
10 Pullups
Time: 11:41
As evidenced by past entries, metcons with overhead elements and yours truly DO NOT get along. I just don't have the overhead strength endurance to jackhammer through 20 straight push presses. Even though the weight was on the lighter side (75-lbs.) it was still tough!
UPDATE: my legs are fried (again!) from the 10-mins. of heavy squat cleans yesterday!
UPDATE #2: Mark Davis (@ http://markdawesomeblog.blogspot.com/) beat my time by 6-seconds. He has officially become... "NINJA." Congrats Mark!

Sean - awesome work.
And, I know it is completely unfair. You and your band of crazies show up at 5:15 am and have to perform. I lay around until a more human hour and show up at CF over lunch. I have eaten, showered, checked my email, and stewed about the WOD for 6 hours already. There is really no comparison.
But today when I saw your time, I put a target around it and rallied myself hard. So thank you. For once, I didn't bonk, and what I thought I could do in my head, pretty much happened.
A good and rare day for me.
Thanks
p.s. I did not bother targeting any of the 9 minute animals. That is flat out sick.
Sean... not kidding... metcon and overhead is definitely a speed reducer! I think part of it all with this is that we aren't (or at least I'm not) working a move for the 1 min glycolic max. I'm at it way longer to get that number of reps...
Mark... sure we complain at 0515 sometimes about doing it all with bleary eyes, but it does haul me back to military life, it is waaay cooler in the summer, and usually a smaller class. Plus, chances are the time that I really need that functional fitness... an emergency isn't going to come at a convenient well rested moment.
