Because of my previously professed love for all things Push Press I decided to attempt today's lift in spite of this bum shoulder (sprain). Jerry put a 20-minute time limit in order for us to find our one rep max and I was able to hit a solid 205-lbs. before struggling with 215-lbs. for a couple of reps. Not that there was any pain involved but I felt a sense of hesitancy & a weird kind of shakiness/weakness once I started getting real heavy. But that's understandable due to the nature of the injury. The Push Press is more of a speed & momentum lift for me rather than a strength lift, my shoulders are weak so I gotta take what I can get but this morning I felt kind of logey and slow... almost awkward.

Afterwards hit the walking lunge portion of today's WOD - I had to sub out the overhead portion and the pullups, Jerry suggested just doing walking lunges with Kettlebells or Dumbells and I did slamballs for the pullups. So today's WOD combined with Back Squats for 5, a slew of slamballs, and a bevy of box jumps this week is definitely gonna lead to a weekend full of lower extremity pain.

My cheeks are already seizing up in anticipation...
