U-G-L-Y-!-!-! You Ain't Got No Alibi, You UGLY!!!

WOD:

Deadlift 3x2 / 3x1

Top Load: 385-lbs. (PR*)

*Non-Competition PR

So I didn't even try to make it in for a Team 0515 Deadlifting session (Let's just say I was out late on Sunday night watching a certain Pay-Per-View Event... starts with a "W" ends with a "-restleMania!!!") But I didn't wanna miss a 1RM. DL day so I packed my WOD clothes anyways and planned to hit CFOT after work.

Working out at 1715 is worlds different than 0515. A lot happens in the twelve hours between those two classes:

- Breakfast
- Work
- Lunch
- Work (maybe...)
- Lunch (!)
- etc.

Needless to say it's a little weird for an early bird like me to get jazzed up for a heavy single in the Deadlift. Worked in with "Little John" and felt pretty good during warm-up doubles. I didn't really feel taxed until my last two pulls of 365-lbs. and 385-lbs. with the latter nearly blowing my brain out of ears & nostrils and making my back look like camel with a severe case of scoliosis. Not cool - next time I won't do that. But with all that being said that's the first time I've pulled 385-lbs. at CFOT and outside of a competitive environment. I'm gonna consider that a new Personal Record from here on out.
