Despite being relegated to wearing this unfashionable "boot" due to my recent foot sprain I scraped my carcass out of bed bright & early this morning for a good old fashioned CFOT romp. It was not long ago that Jerry programmed the "Cindy Sandwich" WOD with a Push Press in the middle but the results were less that nominal. After the first "Cindy" bun I could barely muster up any "push" for the Push Press portion of the sandwich. Needless to say my Push Press was more tofu than beef.

Today I felt like I needed to prove my mettle and redeem myself for my previous effort. It's no secret that I have the weakest slash crappiest strict press of all time. In fact, I think I hold the All-Time Record for Women's Strict Press at CFOT. Don't quote me on that though... it's embarassing. Anyways whenever Push Press pops up in a WOD or as strength work I get a little excited. Today was no different!

I was a little worried that wouldn't have a good base for the Push Press with wearing the boot and all but I found that wearing then boot then stepping on a 5-lb. plate with my right foot made a good enough foundation. I ended up hitting 205-lbs. and then missed 210-lbs.
