"15-Minutes in Heaven is Better than 14-minutes in Heaven!"

WOD:

2 Clean & Jerks every Minute for 15-Minutes (
Total: 30)
Use 90% of 1-RM.
Afterwards - Do 5 Burpees for every Missed Attempt

Load: 155-lbs.
Total: 24-reps.
Burpees: 30 (
6 misses!)

Steckbeck likes to call it "The Pain Cave."
Katie likes to call it "The Hurt Locker."

I don't have a clever or witty catchphrase that can properly describe this morning's WOD; all I know is that it blew. Although words & phrases like "SUCK FEST" and "LAMEBOT" come to mind they don't do it proper justice.

The goal was to use 90% of your Clean's 1-RM. which for me is supposed to be 166-lbs. but I knew I was still hurtin' from Saturday's WOD so I opted for 155-lbs. That might've not been the wisest choice though as I was toast after maybe the 6 or 7 minute. Everything felt really heavy & labor intensive, the power cleans were ugly (JUMP TO LAND, FOO!), and I could barely muster strength to Jerk properly.

I'm going to continue working cleans for extra work after WODs - time & work permitting.
