PUMMELED!

Dudes? No lie - this was a straight up bruiser. If you're counting 'em up thats 120 reps of each movement. What killed me was the Jumping Slam Balls - they gassed me the most. After the last set of 30 Jumping Lunges the final 800m "run" was a straight up joke. I seriously thought I was gonna collapse in the middle of the road in a heaping pile of man flesh and bodily fluids. I debated whether or not to sub the final 800m run for two 400m runs with the logic being that if I did indeed eat asphalt & squirrel turds for breakfast (aka falling down) I would at least be able to drag my body from a closer distance back to the box and die there as opposed to keeling over in that shady construction zone - there's no coming back from that place.

Seeing that it was also "Pick Your Poison" Friday and I still had to wait for the shower I went ahead and hit up some 3-rep Front Squats. Even though my wrist isn't in nearly as much pain I still took it easy and avoided that rack position. Jerry's got these devices dubbed the "Anthony Straps"- they're basically these climbing straps taped and wrapped around the bar that enables persons with less than ideal flexibility get their elbows up in a decent rack position by holding onto these straps. Did wonders for my wrists and was able to avoid that painful rack position - just trying to take it easy & be smart...

Probably the toughest workout since Murph on the Friday before Memorial day.

Nice Job killer~at least you didn't do double JL's!

Glad to hear the wrist is feeling better. See you next week--I'll be ready to hit it hard again!

It was a definite blaster... sort of regretting my pick... Great on you for finishing it under 30.

You should have seen Kaitlin in the car on the way to the orchard...head back, jaw wide, all but drooling with exhaustion. She's a distance girl and she really can't quite describe the frustration of that last 800... something about being 600m into it before she realized she had legs.
