WOD:

Back Squats 5x5

Top Load: 215-lbs.

It's official, yesterday's DU/PU WOD crushed me - I am so freakin' sore today. My chesticles, triceps, and deltoids ache & creak with every movement. I'm thankful for the upcoming long weekend.

So the main course on this morning's menu was Back Squats 5x5's. Still trying to remain focused on form and I'm pretty happy about my progress thus far. Jerry had a couple of little pointers about neck & eye position but other than that felt great hitting depth. I'm still experiencing a little discomfort in my right shoulder (flexibility issues?) and I'm still babying my right wrist.

One thing that has been perplexing me though is my squat strength. My back squat & front squat numbers are nearly identical give or take a couple of pounds here & there. It's just making me wonder what the deal is and what I can do to rectify the situation... call me crazy but isn't a back squat supposed to be significantly stronger than a front squat?
