Double Up!

WOD:

Elise, sorry I'm late!!!

50-40-30-20-10
Double Unders
Pushups

Time: 9:49

This morning was a quick little couplet of Double Unders & Pushups. I'm decent at DU's and Pushups tend to save me a lot of time in WOD's. So much so that I'd consider them a stronger movement for me... that is until this morning.

Honestly this was probably the most deceptive WOD I've done yet. A couple of days ago we did a WOD with DU's/400m Runs/KB Swings and I mentioned how much of a difference there is with DU's in a WOD as opposed to doing them for a warmup or skill work. Talk about understatement of the year. I walked in this morning, took a look at the whiteboard, and thought:

"CAKE."

Only to think later:

"I hate cake..."

The first 50 DU's/PU's went quick enough but then fatigue began to sink in and the frequency of consecutive DU's began to dwindle. Then your chest starts to burn out because, after all, you ARE doing 150 Pushups. But overall I was happy with my performance and I was able to finish sub-10 minutes which (hopefully) gets me back into the realm of ninjas.

Hahaha - I just laughed out loud in a 200 person class. And don't be sorry - I still think you're amazing for posting (and for kicking butt at all the WODs)
