Mental "Pow-Wow"

WOD:

Rest Day!

Sometimes Rest Days are a blessing & a curse. On one hand you get to catch up some Zzzz's and rest a well worn and weary body. On the other hand you risk missing out on a good WOD or lift that you end up kicking yourself for missing. That was the case this morning when I saw that "Toes-to-Bars" were programmed for today's WOD. Over the weekend "Toes-to-Bar" were involved in the 2009 CrossFit Games final WOD entitled "The Chipper." When I saw that all I could think of was "Oooooh...!" wanting to try it out - so yeah color me disappointed.

But sometimes you just gotta listen to your body! If you find yourself instinctively just straight up CRUSHING! your alarm clock, cell phone, rooster or sleeping wife in the face (sorry baby!) with a clenched fist without even knowing it you need a rest day. Sometimes we get so pummeled by life, jobs, working out that we just need to unwind mentally & physically and just rest.

Eat well, drink plenty of water, and go to bed early... oh, and stay away from gray snow & donuts.

Dude-I felt the same thing. I totally want to do this workout. We'll have to tell Jerry he needs to do another variation of this in the coming weeks!

BTW-you would have CRUSHED this.

@Erin - I dunno dude... I'm just NOW feeling all the ABMATs, Pushups, and Back Squats!

I don't think I can CRUSH anything save for maybe an oreo milkshake.
