Is it Worth it? Let me Work it! Put my Thang Down Flip it and Reverse it!

WOD:

Clean 5x3

Top Load: 175-lbs. x3 (PR)

I love being in a meeting from 0700 to 1300 - it's the most epic waste of time. Good thing I started out this morning with Power Cleans for 3-reps. @ CFOT! I guess I should be thankful though... what that meeting did do for me though was allow me extra time to work on my Clean technique this morning so I was pretty happy about that.

After "digging through the crates" I can't find any other evidence that negates this claim but I believe that 175x3 is a PR. I feel like I keep inching closer & closer to the ever elusive 200-lbs. club.

Question: Is there a direct correlation between clean strength and jerk strength?

I feel like my clean strength is directly proportional to my jerk strength... just curious because my jerks are creeping up on 195-lbs. and so are my cleans. And with that thought looming in mind I'm hoping that when that blessed day arrives where I oh so effortlessly clean 200-lbs. and make it look like cotton candy that I won't break down and cry. But I make no promises...

Who am I kidding!?! The day when I clean 200-lbs. is the day where my form will be atrocious and someone will wittily remark how much I looked, sounded, (and smelled) like a sasquatch giving birth to a prize winning watermelon.
