WOD:
2 Rounds
:20-secs. Tabata Squats / :10-secs. Rest x 8
4-mins. AMRAP Muscle-Ups
Round 1: 18 x 14 = 252
Round 2: 16 x 14 = 224
Total: 476
UGH.
What a simple, effective, and crushing workout! I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the next few days are gonna be filled with jelly legs and a Tabata induced drunken swagger. What's a "Tabata" you ask? From CrossFit.com:
"For twenty seconds do as many reps of the assigned exercise as you can - then rest 10 seconds. Repeat this seven more times for a total of 8 intervals, 4 minutes total exercise. The score is the least number of reps for any of the eight intervals."
So for Tabata squats you do :20 seconds of Air Squats counting your reps, then rest for :10 seconds. You do 8 rounds of this for a total of 4:00 minutes. If you did reps of 20, 20, 20, 20, 18, 18, 16, 16 your score for the 4:00 minutes of work is 16 which is the lowest amount of reps you completed within the alloted time.
I was able to maintain 18 Squats for the 1st go around with 14 MU's and then 16 Squats with another 14 MU's the 2nd go around. So you multiply 18x14 for a score of 252, and then 16x14 for a score of 224 for a total score of 476 (I think that's what Jerry meant by total score).
Yeah, it's safe to say I'm DONESKI.
